Description of accident: Hard landing and gear collapse resulted in the following damages:

All 3 propeller blades impacted the terrain upon collapse of the nose landing gear and will require replacement.

Engine sudden stoppage damage due to propeller strike.

The nose landing gear appeared to be partially retracted and was unable to be fully extended in the down and locked position.

The nose landing gear actuator appears to be broken free of the nose landing gear strut.

The nose landing gear appears to be broken away from the airframe attaching points.

The nose landing gear doors are abraded and show heavy material loss due to impact with terrain.

The engine exhaust stack suffered impact damage and material loss due to impact with terrain.

The engine venting doors suffered impact damage and material loss due to impact with terrain.

The carburetor air box is crushed due to impact with terrain.

The lower fuselage exterior panels appear to be slightly wrinkled due to impact with terrain.

The lower firewall is impacted and wrinkled.

The interior cabin center control box appears to have become crushed and wrinkled.

The control yoke assembly binds during operation and is considered to have bent linkage due to impact with terrain.
